Founder Info for Horse Owners!

On 5/24/10 my 7-year old APHA mare Leo was diagnosed with acute laminitis. She battled courageously for 4 months, spiraling downhill as her bones sank, rotated & ultimately started to die. On 9/24/10 she went to Happy Horsey Heaven where she now runs & plays in perfect health. I created this blog to keep people informed of her progress. Now that she's gone I hope other owners can use it as a learning tool, as well as a place to share their experiences with people who understand.

My Story...

I live in Grand Haven, Michigan, with my wonderful husband Adam, little black cat Hank, and bouncy Heinz 57 (aka mutt) dog Molly; Leo lives at a boarding facility in Norton Shores. I grew up in Coopersville, MI, and Adam is from Ludington, MI. I spend my weekdays working in the Production Control department for a yacht/composites manufacturer in Holland, and Adam is a local yacht broker. No human kids yet, but our three critters keep us just as busy. Adam and I enjoy boating, watching baseball (go Tigers!), traveling, and spending time with our friends and family.

If you'd like to talk to me about your experience with laminitis, founder, navicular or other issue, please feel free to email me at reannonlamb@hotmail.com. I'd love to hear from you!
